Campus Election!

I am suppose to study now, but when i saw the stack of notes on my table reminded me today incident. As usual, every day class and class. Today i was kinda early for my Control Engineering class but the class still been occupied by other classes. No choice, have to wait outside. While waiting, i realized that the floor was in mess! papers! the pamphlets! out of curiosity, i looked on the papers contents. Holy crap, papers with a picture and the statement "UNDILAH SAYA! CALON NO...", then i looked on the noticed board! Again, the same stuff, the pamphlets are all over the board, worst still even on the walls.

But the story didn't end here, when i reached home, again i saw a stack of pamphlets on the table, this time it was written in Chinese. I was wondering how many copies they have made? How many papers they have wasted? How many trees have been cut? And worst still is how many papers are going to be in the bin soon? What a wastage, when come to politics, none will be benefited, even the environment are not spared. I remembered on the last election, the banners were everywhere especially the on the roadside, and what make me disappointed was the banners on the roundabout were actually blocking the views of the road user, it was very dangerous as it might cause accident due to those irritated banners.

No deny, that i was interested in those political stuff, how the nation change. But too much politics make me fed up. Politics, the face of sarcasm, where everyone wearing the mask on their face.

This is what today's people wearing. None can be trusted! Just like the mask, the most you can see is just a third of the face.

What make me irritated are to bunch of Chinese that are so Chinese! So typical, so selfish, so proud, so sarcastic, worst still so fake. Always do things with "intention", if the intention is good, i don't mind. But this group of people trying to do "good" thing with other intention. With the intention of making benefit for themselves.

I have been more than 2 and half years in UKM, in this 2 years plus,i do meet a lot of different people. The world of university is so realistic, so sarcastic, so racist. Of course i have let go everything, but just wanna to share my campus experiences.

Let me start from very beginning it, yes my 1st year, as i am not from the chinese educated background, chinese in the Uni will give you a type of expression. They even ask you, "Why you are Chinese and yet you don't know Chinese?" This question was posted out to me by a very "clever" Chinese girl which 1 year senior than me. I didn't answer her question, but deep in my heart, i want to ask her "Why you are Chinese, but you not going back to China?" Come on man, is the 20 centuries! What you expect! Yes, i regret that i don't know Chinese words, but i am glad that i don't have the "Chinese" thinking. It's so ridiculous.

Ok, back to the topic, politic! The chinese political, just like wearing the opera mask, and start making drama in front of you, in a second, they say this, another second that, as if keep changing the faces, here i post out 3 masks the their changing and changing and changing faces!

Blue!

Wow, turn purple!

Again changed, now yellow!

I was a college committee(KIY), and i was 1 of the only 2 Chinese in that committee, thus i always been approach by some people from Chinese association to seek help in recruiting Chinese juniors to join them. Well, of course i have to entertain them. Wow, when they need your help, they talked to you as if they know you for years, may be even one of your long lost friend, but bear in mind, just for that moment only, after that, they will ignored you. I remembered i was approach by a Chinese guy, dark skin, wearing spec, 2 years senior than me, from engineering faculty, well he and his friends met up with me at least 3 times in a semester for the sake helping them to reach out the juniors, but when i bump into him at the engineering faculty, and i put a smile on him;he give me no reaction. Just see me and pass through me. As if he don't know me. What he meant, i don't know.

I remembered last years, i was invited to join a General meeting of the Chinese community, where there will be selection of new committee. Well i was actually not intended to join that meeting, but due to my promise on a friend of my, i went to the meeting, at pusanika. Well, everything was conducted in Chinese and the meeting Chairperson was 1 of the alumni of the association, well, i remember, there were meeting, and the floor are free to ask any question, and i remembered there was a person posting a question to the out-going committee, and before he finished asking, the Chairperson interrupted, and say " please speak Chinese!" that because he was asking question in English. Does it matter asking in English? I don't know! But people like me who only know limited Chinese will not have the power of saying since you know only a little of chinese! Haigh....What a real traditional community, guess with them Chinese culture can be preserved for another 5000 years, same thing goes to their thinking.

That was not the climate of the event, the main event, was the voting part, where one of the members consider to quit, but he do speak out the reason why he quit, it was kinda interesting where he point out there were 6 people behind of it, and out of 6 i do actually know 4 of them, which in my view, these are those with absolute realistic. Well, i was surprised that the way of voting was same as the way of voting in the campus election, the floor are actually given the list of people the should vote, which mean those whose were not in the list,.....hehe...... What a democracy in this community..... Perhaps it is the tradition way of selecting their leaders which might follow the Chinese 5000 years tradition. Who knows.....!

yes, when we look at chinese community itself, some of them are really block heads that persist. All we can do is just accept the truth these ppl exist. They exist everywhere.
